Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he would have left the club if his current manager Jose Mourinho did.
Mourinho was linked with a return to London to manage Chelsea at the end of last season before the club appointed his old assistant, Andre Villas-Boas, from Porto.
Ronaldo values Mourinho as a manager so much that he said he would have left to join mega-rich Manchester City had the Portuguese boss left Madrid.
“Jose Mourinho is staying at Madrid so I stay,” Ronaldo told the Sunday Mirror.
“If he went to Chelsea then I would have left. I would have gone to Manchester City. But now he’s staying, I’m staying.”
Ronaldo also announced that his next move would be a likely return to the Premier League, but he said he still had unfinished business with the La Liga giants.
“I think if I went from Spain it would be to the Premier League – but not now,” he said.
“First we have to win the Champions League. If I went back to the Premier League it would have to be with a club in the north west. I don’t like London.”
“It’s flattering to be offered like 20 million pounds a year – it’s very good, but I spoke to my agent and I think it’s better to stay in Madrid because this year we’re going to be the best. This season we are going to be a big force.”
It is obvious that Ronaldo has no morals at all! Isn’t Real Madrid his boyhood dream club? So why would he only stay in Mourinho is staying!
These days, too many players lack the soul and love for the clubs they choose to play at!
Saying he would have left for Man City if Mourinho left is a kick in the teeth to all Man U fans and players alike…
