Reports in Spain suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo might have signed a pre-contract with Real Madrid, according to The Telegraph. Such a pre-contract would mean that Cristiano Ronaldo promised Real Madrid that he would join the club this summer and would have to pay a considerable fine should he break his end of the deal.
Light was recently shed on the deal which took Luis Figo from Barcelona to Real Madrid in 2000 and the player’s agent at the time admitted that he did sign a similar type of deal with Real Madrid.
Manchester United are unwilling to listen to any offers for Ronaldo who has yet to lodge an official transfer request. Manchester United have already complained to FIFA over alleged tapping-up, but the Spanish club was not found guilty of any such offenses.
