(GSM) – Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney admits he’s happy Real Madrid is no longer in the Champions League.
Real were knocked out by Olympique Lyon at the same time United were thrashing Milan.
It means there is no dream final for Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.
“Real Madrid have gone out, which has got rid of one hurdle,” Rooney said.
“You know if you got to the final and faced them in their own stadium, it would always be difficult.”

Haha, everyone is glad to see CR dissapointed – the ones who support Real and the ones who dont – I sure hope it will be a big blow to his ego !
it will, Ali.
I’m happy we dont have to go against Real in the final, or any other part of the CL this season. I hope we can get revenge against Barca and dont have to worry about facing any other big team.
I think barca is a sure winner against Stutgart, I think Fergie’s match of the year will be against barca hands down cuz they are probably the top competitor in the tourney other than Man Utd. If we win that match, Rooney is the player of the year hands down and Man Utd are sure winners of the CL.
