Norwegian side Rosenborg lock horns with Icelandic outfit Reykjavik this evening in the Europa League qualifiers, with the visitors looking to earn an advantage in the first leg of their clash. They are favourites to progress into the next round, but could be met with some resistance.

The hosts Reykjavik are enjoying a good league campaign this season, with the side currently second in their domestic division. Their form on home soil is strong too, boasting four wins from six games played in their own backyard, so Rosenborg will be in for a difficult evening. There is an obvious gulf in class between the two sides, and Rosenborg also have much more of an affinity in European competition than that of their counterparts.

Top of the Norwegian Tippeligaen, the visitors have been impressive of late too, and have won six of their eight away games in their division ahead of this evening’s qualifier.
