In an interview with journalists on Friday, Sunderland’s manager Roy Keane suggested that he could leave the club at the end of the season.
His contract is due to expire at the end of the season after three seasons in charge of the Black Cats.
Keane was highly critical of himself and admitted that he has made numerous mistakes along the way and that he was perturbed about the fact that they have only won once in their last five matches in the Premier League.
However, he was especially pleased with the progress that the club had made over the past three seasons.
Having taken over managing the club when it was at a low, he has become a popular manager with the fans at the Stadium Of Light who will be saddened by the news.
