Reports from Sky Sports claim that Romanian defender Dorin Goian is determined to win a move to Sunderland.
Sunderland boss Roy Keane has made a move for 27 year old Goian after being impressed by the defender during Euro 2008.
The Black Cats are even believed to have agreed a deal with Steaua Bucharest for him, but a number of other clubs are thought to be waiting in the wings to swoop for the centre-back.
Goian’s English representative Peter Harrison says he has his heart set on a switch to the Stadium of Light.
“Dorin would love to play for Sunderland,†Harrison told The Sunderland Echo.
