Feyenoord striker Roy Makaay is a target for Premier League new boys, Hull City, after a change of management at his club has made the former Bayern Munich striker affordable. The Telegraph states that Makaay could now leave the club for as little as £1.5 million and that Hull City are eager to sign the Dutch striker.
Hull relied heavily on Frazier Campbell - who was on loan from Manchester United - to gain promotion to the Premier League, but now that Campbell has finished his loan spell, they will look to buy a forward.
Despite his advancing years, Roy Makaay would still be a catch for Hull City. During his time with Bayern Munich, Makaay found the net on 78 occasion in 129 league appearances. That is the kind of strike rate that Hull will need from their strikers if they are to survive in the Premier League.

Got something to say?

Man I was glad to see Hull win promotion to the Premier League! All my mates say Hull is going to be the new Derby and after letting Okocha go it sure looked dark for a while. I have been watching Hull’s rumors in the transfer market quite closely and so far it’s been delighting. There has been talk about former Bolton full-back Bernard Mendy, George Boateng and now Makaay. Geovanni has already signed. I’m glad Hull understand the crucial role of experienced players. Just take a look at Derby last season!
