Rubin Kazan complete signing of Genoa defender

Reigning RPL champions Rubin Kazan have officially confirmed the signing of defender Salvatore Bocchetti from Genoa. The 23 year old has signed a three and a half year contract with the Russian giants. According to Russian media reports, Rubin have paid around 11 million euros to Genoa for Bocchetti’s services.

Bocchetti started his career with Ascoli and had loan spells with Lanciano and Frosinone before joining the latter on a permanent basis in 2007. After a season with Frosinone, he joined Genoa in 2008.

Bocchetti made his debut for the Italian national team last year against the Republic of Ireland.
