S. America Under-20: Brazil beat arch rivals Argentina

Brazil remain in first place in the final round of the South American Sub-20 Championships, beating arch rivals Argentina 2-0 in Maturin, Venezuela.

Vasco Da Gama forward Alan Kardec opened the score after 65 minutes, making no mistake from the penalty spot.

The match was really decided when Giuliano added a second with just five minutes to go in regular time.

With six points from two games, Brazil are on course to win this championship and almost certain of qualification for July’s Under-21 World Cup. Argentina have only one point.
