A report from Talk Sport today suggests that Arsenal are on the verge of signing Real Madrid midfielder Nari Sahin on loan.
It looks as though Alex Song is set to join Barcelona from the Gunners and Arsene Wenger want to get a replacement in as soon as possible, with Sahin being top of his list.
Liverpool had apparently also been keen on the midfielder but it looks as though the London side will win the race to sign him on a temporary basis.
The Turkish international has found life tough at the Bernabeu so far and with the amount of quality that the La Liga Champions have in that area of the pitch, a loan move could be ideal for him.
There is no doubt that Sahin is a talented player and the way Arsenal play their football is likely to suit his game.
Should he prove himself in the English Premier League – he may find more opportunities at Real when he returns so it could be a great deal for both parties.
The 23-year-old made just four appearances in the Spanish top flight last year and now could be on the move as this transfer window draws to a close.
