Sahin, Subotic set for January exits

Borussia Dortmund footballers Nuri Sahin and Neven Subotic are almost certain to leave the club in the winter transfer window, Sport Bild can reveal.

Once key members of the squad at Signal-Iduna Park, the duo is no longer in the first team plans of boss Thomas Tuchel and January exit seems likely.

Nuri Sahin didn’t even make the matchday squad in any of the games this season and chances are he will quickly grow frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities.

Having played at the highest level for so long, the Turkish midfielder should have no problems finding a new club, although he will probably need a while to rediscover his form given the lack of action this term.

Meanwhile, Neven Subotic was on the verge of joining Middlesbrough in the summer, only for the deal to fall through due to his rib injury, but the Serbian defender should also be leaving in January.
