Saint Etienne reignite interest in Tabanou

Saint Etienne are readying a new assault on Toulouse winger Franck Tabanou, French newspaper Le Progress reports.

Les Verts are actively searching for a successor to Yohan Mollo, who has returned to Nancy after his loan deal at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard came to an end.

They have long ago made Toulouse winger Franck Tabanou their number one target and even agreed a four-year contract with the player.

However, they have since been unable to reach an agreement over the transfer fee with the player’s employers, having had no less than three bids rejected over the last few weeks.

With Toulouse still holding out for €5 million, Saint Etienne are looking to launch a final assault on the highly rated footballer, hoping to finally wrap up the deal.

Franck Tabanou, 24, has developed into one of Ligue 1’s top midfielders over the years, and has scored 15 goals in 138 league appearances for le Tefece.
