Sampdoria agree deal for Luciano Vietto

Italian side Sampdoria have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Argentine forward Luciano Vietto, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Blucerchiati sold Luis Muriel this summer and with Patrik Schick also nearing a move away from Marassi, they decided to make a move on the former Villarreal starlet.

The two clubs have now reached an agreement over the transfer fee, whereas Vietto needs to accept a contract worth €1.6m plus bonuses if he wants the deal to go ahead.

That would be a serious pay cut considering that he has been earning €2.4m per campaign at Vicente Calderon.

Having struggled for playing time at Atletico Madrid, Vietto spent last season on loan at Sevilla, bagging 10 goals in 31 appearances for los Rojiblancos.
