According to report on Channel 4.com Sampdoria have confirmed the signature of Argentine defender Jonathan Pablo Bottinelli.

The 24 year old is the Sampa’s sixth addition of the summer and is the second South American recruit after striking prospect Bruno Fornaroli, who arrived from National Montevideo.

Bottinelli helped San Lorenzo win last season’s Argentine Clausura tournament and had been linked to Spanish sides Sevilla and Real Betis.The Buenos Aires native’s efforts earned him a debut cap against Chile in April 2007.

Bottinelli passed a medical this morning and will be presented tomorrow.
