Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez has admitted his current goal drought makes him feel ‘nervous’.

The 24-year-old has failed to find the back of the net in any of his 14 Liga matches this season, and has just three strikes to his name in 26 appearances this term.

The Chile international said he is troubled by his struggles in front of goal, though he did point to his tally of five assists as proof he is contributing to the team.

“The fact that I can’t score makes me nervous,” he told Marca.com. “At any rate, the hard thing is to create chances, and this is something I’m doing.”

Despite his lack of scoring success for Tito Vilanova’s side this season, Alexis played a key role in Chile’s 2-1 friendly win over Egypt on Wednesday, setting up Carlos Carmona for his winning goal.
