Sandro Wagner nears Bayern Munich move

German international striker Sandro Wagner is closing on a move to Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians have been after Wagner for some time now as they look to increase competition upfront and bring in a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich have been unwilling to meet Hoffenheim’s demands for the 30-year-old forward but Hoffenheim forward is now on verge of re-joining his boyhood club with German media outlet Bild claiming that a deal is expected to be finalised over the next week or two.

“We don’t have to lie about it. I’m expecting this will happen in the next week or two,”, Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann told the German newspaper.

Wagner will join former Hoffenheim teammates Niklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy at Bayern Munich.

Former Darmstadt striker scored five goals in all competitions for Hoffenheim this season and can be backed at 13/10 to get his name on the scoresheet this weekend at Hannover.
