The younger brother of Paraguay international striker Roque Santa Cruz has joined him at Blackburn.

Julio Santa Cruz, who at eighteen years old is nine years younger than his brother, was previously with Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno and will join Rovers on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance.

He has been on trial at Ewood Park since the end of last season and whilst unlikely to force his way into the first team, he is likely to feature in the reserves.
