Sassuolo considering January swoop for Mattia Destro

Despite missing injured Rodrigo Palacio, Roberto Donadoni prefers Bruno Petkovic in front of Destro who needs to ‘prove himself to be in better form’.

Destro is said to be losing patience at Bologna and is exploring his options head of the winter transfer market.

Gazzetta di Modena is reporting that Sassuolo are prepared to offer Mattia Destro a lifeline this winter and help him get his career back on track after a frustrating start to the season at Bologna.

Bologna are currently 12th in the league with 14 points after 11 Serie A rounds.
