Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has declared they will do everything possible to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in 2009.

The Spanish giants spent most of the summer trying to sign the Portugal star and Real provoked United with their attempts to sign him.

“There is hope that next year he could be with us,” Schuster told Marca.

“We must do everything possible because it is worth having this footballer.

“Madrid knows it and this year was already willing to pay a heavy price.

“Maybe next year it will be a little less, but I think we must be prepared in case we need to make this expenditure.”

    I think Real Madrid should focus on football instead of signing super star. With the squad available in Real Madrid is more than enough!!!

    go for ronaldo, at all costz. make him world footballer in real coz it’z hard for him to be in england. and this will increase our number of fans more than u expect, and glory too. we hav enough playerz, that’z true but we can’t afford to lose a single player for every match so we need a good back like cr7. and why did you let robinho leave, we waz the best player we had. and all fans(us believed) in him even though you had some misunderstandings. nothing is impossible in madrid, so bring HIM back in january. where is saviola? we also need xtra strikers like villa or ibrahimovic
