Newly appointed Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has denied that he has had any influence on Cristiano Ronaldo and his future with Manchester United.

The former Brazilian and Portuguese national coach reacted strongly to reports that had said that he had advised Ronaldo to leave Manchester United for Spanish champions Real Madrid.

Scolari added that he knows that the strong willed Ronaldo has a strong mind and that he is fully capable of making up his own mind.

He concluded that with or without Ronaldo Manchester United will be hard to oppose in the Premier League this season.
