Dundee United cruised to a 4-0 win over 10-man Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League on Tuesday.

After a goalless first half, the match swung in Dundee United’s favour when Kilmarnock’s Liam Kelly was given a straight red card and conceded a penalty after 55 minutes.

The resulting spot-kick was tucked away by Irish striker Jonathan Daly for his 16th goal of the season in all competitions.

The match was sealed just two minutes later as Paul Dixon extended the lead to the delight of the Tannadice Park crowd.

And further strikes to John Rankin and Scott Robertson capped off a superb second half for Peter Houston’s men.

Dundee United’s win saw them climb above Kilmarnock and into the top half of the Scottish Premier League table.
