Former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf was officially unveiled by Botafogo on Saturday.
The 36-year-old, who has signed a two-year contract with the club, was presented to fans ahead of the 3-0 victory against Bahia in the Brasileirao.
He arrived by helicopter and there were fireworks and ticker tape explosions to commemorate the Dutchman’s signing.
“Good night, fans,” said Seedorf, who received Botafogo’s No.10 shirt from the hands of two supporters. “Many thanks, great fans.
“I have arrived, now everything will begin. Thank you for everything, for your support.
“Next week, I will start working to help Botafogo grow. Thank you!”
Botafogo are sixth in the league on 12 points, four points fewer than leaders Atletico Mineiro.
