Serbia 19/20 to beat China in Friday’s international friendly

Competition: International friendly

Market: Serbia to beat China

Odds: 19/20 @ Bet365

The international break is back this week as club football is forced to take a backseat. Despite many being disappointed that they will have to remain contented without club football, they have a number very interesting games to come as the playoffs take place. One very interesting matchup sees Serbia travel to play China on Thursday.

China struggled massively in their qualification campaign as they crashed out in the group stage. Iran topped the group with 22 points, seven clear of second-placed South Korea, and 10 clear of China in fifth. They managed to take just 12 points from their 10 games, winning three and drawing three. They looked fairly poor going forward as they scored just eight times, while they conceded 10 goals. A win over Serbia on Thursday would give their fans something to cheer following a tough campaign for the nation.

For Serbia, it was a superb campaign. 21 points from their 10 games were won via six wins and three draws. Serbia emerged from a tough group that contained the Republic of Ireland, Wales and Austria, which is an impressive achievement. 20 goals scored and just 10 conceded shows they are strong at both ends of the pitch, and few teams will want to be drawn in the same group as Serbia at the World Cup. The game constitutes a great chance for the two sides to experiment with their tactics and team, and Bet365 are giving Serbia odds of 19/20 to win.
