Sergio Busquets signs new Barca deal

Barcelona have confirmed on their official website that Sergio Busquets has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 2015.

The Catalans wanted to reward the Spain international for his new status in the side with a new contract and at the same time increase his release clause.

Barca fans will be delighted to hear that the agreement has been reached after several weeks of negotiations, with Busquets signing a two-year extension to his current deal.

The improved terms include a significant pay rise for the player as well as the new release clause of €150 million.

Sergio Busquets enjoyed a meteoric rise ever since he was introduced to the first team by Pep Guardiola, shortly becoming a key player for both Barca and Spain, with everyone at the club delighted he has signed a new deal at Camp Nou.
