Hearts boss Paulo Sergio hailed his embattled squad after their 2-0 derby win over Hibs moved them within one point of a Europa League place.
Despite the fact his team had not received their wages for the fifth time this season, goals from Craig Beattie and Suso Santana lifted them to a comfortable win over second-bottom Hibs.
Sergio was proud of the way his men shrugged off their pay concerns at Tynecastle on Sunday.
“We had to speak about the wages two days ago,” Sergio said.
“I am very proud of the players because, at the right moment when we have to suffer, we suffered together.”
“We fight, always looking to kill the game. The second goal came too late but it was a great victory.”
“The spirit of the players doesn’t surprise me, because I work with them every day. I know that in hard conditions, they will stick together and fight for our jersey.”
