Sergio to manage Sporting Lisbon

Vitoria Guimaraes manager Paulo Sergio on Tuesday signed a two-year contract to coach Sporting Lisbon from next season, his new club announced.

Sporting Lisbon are placed fourth in the Portuguese first division on 44 points, 26 behind city rivals Benfica.

Sporting’s existing manager, Carlos Carvalhal, will stay on until the end of this season, the club confirmed.
