Roma and Udinese played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in their Serie A clash at Stadio Friuli on Saturday.
Erik Lamela’s 20th-minute opener was cancelled out by Luis Muriel just after the hour-mark as Aurelio Andreazzoli’s side had to settle for a point.
Thomas Heurtaux was sent off for the hosts in the 73rd minute, but Roma were unable to find a winner in the wet conditions.
After their fourth consecutive league match without tasting defeat, Roma are seventh, while Udinese sit ninth after their 11th draw of the campaign.
Roma started well and after Alessandro Florenzi had wasted a good chance, he was involved in the opener.
Florenzi met a cross from Francesco Totti but saw his header saved by Zeljko Brkic, with the rebound bouncing off the crossbar.
But Lamela reacted quickest, scrambling home the rebound from an angle to give Roma the lead.
Udinese created several opportunities in the second half and equalised thanks to a fine goal from Muriel on 62 minutes.
The Colombian beat two markers before firing a powerful low strike at goal, his effort going through the legs of Maarten Stekelenburg.
Despite Heurtaux being sent off for a reckless challenge on Florenzi, Roma were unable to find a winner.
