Inter Milan climbed to third place on the Serie A table thanks to a 2-0 win at home to Pescara, as Bologna thumped Chievo.

Goals from Rodrigo Palacio and Fredy Guarin, in the first and second half respectively, helped Inter record a straight-forward victory over Pescara at San Siro.

The win sees Andrea Stramaccioni’s team move third at the expense of Napoli, who play on Sunday.

In the other match on Saturday, Alberto Gilardino’s brace either side of half-time, together with goals from Panagiotis Kone and Manolo Gabbiadini, saw Bologna ease to a 4-0 win at home to Chievo.

The result sees Bologna move up to 13th on the table, three points back from Chievo, who sit 11th.
