Sessegnon granted work permit in time to face former club

New West Bromwich Albion striker Stephane Sessegnon is available to make his debut for the club against his former employers Sunderland after receiving his work permit, according to the Mail Online.

The Benin international moved to The Hawthorns for a club record £5m on transfer deadline day, but missed the 1-1 draw with Fulham last time out as he awaited clearance.

He scored seven Premier League goals for the Wearside club last season, but was deemed surplus to requirements at the Stadium of Light by manager Paolo Di Canio.

Baggies manager Steve Clare has confirmed that the 29 year old is in the squad for the visit of the Black Cats, where both sides will be hoping for a result that will see them climb out of the bottom three.

They are the only sides in the division to not have registered a win this season, so you may want to take advantage of Bet 365’s offer of 12/5 for the game to finish in a draw.
