Sevilla have approach rejected for talented midfielder

Serbian daily newspaper Sportski Zurnal is reporting that Sevilla are keen on Red Star midfielder Uros Racic.

Los Rojiblancos have been so impressed with the 18-year-old footballer that they recently attempted to secure his signature.

Sevilla informed Red Star chiefs that they are prepared to offer €2.5 million plus 20% of next transfer fee, but the bid was swiftly rejected.

While they hope to improve the financial situation by cashing in on Espanyol target Mihailo Ristic, The Serbian champions believe Racic can develop into a key member of the squad and have no intention to sell him just yet.

The talented youngster, who had joined the club from OFK Beograd in March 2016, has so far made eight league appearances for the senior side, starting one of those games.

Racic is an important member of Serbia Under-19 side and is widely regarded as one of club’s hottest prospects.
