Sevilla, Villarreal vying for Italian youngster

Estadio Deportivo understands that clubs from Spanish La Liga are keeping close tabs on AS Roma youngster Lorenzo Vasco.

The likes of Sevilla and Villarreal have been closely monitoring the midfielder’s performances ever since they spotted his talent in UEFA Youth League.

Los Rojiblancos and their league rivals reportedly hope to lure Vasco to Spain in the near future, but it remains to be seen whether they can persuade AS Roma to sell.

The 18-year-old has yet to be handed his first team debut at Stadio Olimpico, but he has shown a great deal of potential playing for club’s youth sides.

After only starting one UEFA Youth League match last term, he has started all four group games this season, and he may soon be given a chance to impress at senior level.

But, with competition for starting places fierce at Stadio Olimpico, chances are Vasco will be loaned out to a lower division side.
