Shakhtar goal-machine welcomes Juventus link

Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has admitted that he would like to play for Juventus one day in the future.

The Armenian midfielder has been in unbelievable form this season, attracting attention from top European clubs in the process.

Following the good showing in the Champions League clash with Juventus and a goal he scored for Armenia against Italy, the player was paired with the reigning Serie A champions.

Mkhitaryan explains that he is currently focused on Shakhtar, but admits he is thinking about joining the Bianconeri in the future.

Asked whether he would like to play in Italy, the talented playmaker replied:

“Well, there are big clubs, and it is a great league. However, if one wants me they have to talk to Shakhtar at the end of the season,” Mkhitaryan explained to La Stampa.

The 23-year-old was then asked about a possible switch to Juventus.

“Who knows, maybe one day, I’m still young.”

Despite playing as an attacking midfielder, Mkhitaryan has been in scintillating scoring form this season, having bagged 14 goals in 11 league games for the Ukrainian giants.
