Shaw linked with Manchester City switch

Manchester City could be set to make a sensational move for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, according to the Express.

Shaw has struggled to hold down a first team spot under at Old Trafford since returning from a broken leg that kept him out for the entirety of the 2015/16 campaign.

He has made nineteen appearances in all competitions under Jose Mourinho so far this season but has completed a fully ninety minutes on four occasions in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur are favourites to secure the former Southampton man’s services while City are also in the running, along with newly-promoted Newcastle United.

Shaw is set to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury, and is one of six defenders unavailable to the Red Devils for their Europa League semi-final first leg against Celta Vigo on Thursday evening.

However, the English giants are favourites to win the match at 27/20.
