Shelvey signs new Swansea City deal

Jonjo Shelvey has penned a new four-year deal with Swansea City, according to Talksport.

The 23 year old has been rewarded for a superb season for the Swans last time around, and is now committed to the club until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

Since moving to the Liberty Stadium in the summer of 2013, and has since racked up seventy-seven appearances for the club, scoring nine times.

Prior to his move to South Wales, the one-time England international spent three seasons with Liverpool and was part of the squad that won the 2012 League Cup, while he has also had a loan spell with Blackpool, and began his career with Charlton Athletic.

His one and only cap for his country came as substitute, when he came off the bench for Roy Hodgson’s side as they beat San Marino 5-0 in a qualifier for the 2014 World Cup finals.
