Silva confirms Everton’s Digne interest

Everton finally seem to be getting somewhere in the summer transfer window, with manager Marco Silva confirming their interest in Barcelona’s Lucas Digne. Silva stated that he hopes Digne, alongside Richarlison, can bolster their squad ahead of what is likely to be a challenging Premier League campaign.

The 25-year-old defender has quite the resume in his early career, spending two years at the Nou Camp after past tenures with Roma, Paris Saint-Germain and Lille. While he was only named to standby list of France’s World Cup squad he’s certainly a world-class talent, and he’d add some much-needed quality to the Toffees’ first team as they attempt to challenge for the European spots once again.

Silva has been relatively quiet throughout the transfer window so far but it appears, with a few weeks remaining until the season gets underway, that he’s starting to put the necessary pieces in place for Everton to succeed.
