Defender Mikael Silvestre has stated that a move to Bordeaux this summer is ‘not impossible’, but he will most likely not leave Manchester United if it means taking a pay-cut.
Bordeaux are managed by former United player Laurent Blanc, also a former defender.
Said Silvestre: “I know Lolo (Blanc) as we played together at Manchester. Last year, we talked about a possible transfer”
“However, everyone has to take advantage, both on a sport and financial level. In that milieu you can’t make any gifts.”
The France international has recently returned from a long-time injury that has forced him to spend most of the season on the sidelines while watching his team play for the Premier League title. He can operate both as a center back and left-back.
