Italy starlet Simone Zaza could be the subject of a January bid from Atletico Madrid, AS can reveal.
Los Colchoneros have signed several forwards this summer, with Mandzukic, Jimenez, Griezmann and Cerci all joining, but it looks as though they are still in the market for attacking reinforcements.
AS has learned that Atletico are hot on the trail of Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza as they had the player watched in the weekend’s defeat to Napoli.
The Juventus graduate was purchased by the Neroverdi this summer after he impressed in his first full Serie A season and he has since even made his Italy debut.
After starting the friendly versus Netherlands, Zaza scored in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Norway, proving that he has a great future ahead of him.
He is now being heavily linked with a move away from Sassuolo, although it is important to note that Juventus have the option to buy him back for a predetermined amount.
