Sirigu linked with Premiership move

French daily newspaper L’Equipe has suggested that several Premier League sides are showing interest in PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

The Italy international is looking to leave the club in search of first team football having been relegated to the bench after the arrival of Kevin Trapp.

And while a number of top Serie A sides are ready to offer him a chance to return to Italy, his €4.5 million yearly wage is outside of their price range.

This is why English Premier League appears to be the most likely destination for the 28-year-old, who will soon have a decision to make.

And while Sirigu would prefer to join a side fighting for European positions, it is relegation strugglers Newcastle United and Aston Villa that have expressed interest in his services so far.

Italian giants AC Milan could make a move as well if Diego Lopez leaves, but it is clear that Sirigu will have to accept a major pay-cut if he wants to return to Italy.
