Russian newspaper Izvestia has learned that Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is eager to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
The Slovakian centre-back has lost his place in the starting line-up following a clash with boss Brendan Rodgers and he is reportedly fed up with waiting for his chance at Anfield.
Skrtel wants to leave the club in search of first team football and it is unlikely the Reds will stand in his way.
Russian giants Zenit and Anzhi are believed to be leading the race for the experienced stopper, but Izvestia reports Arsenal are also keen.
A return to Russian Premier League is definitely an option, although it is believed the player would prefer to remain in England.
Martin Skrtel has developed into one of the top European defenders since joining Liverpool from Zenit, making a total of 149 Premier League appearances for the Reds and scoring 7 goals in the process.
