Sneijder heading to Manchester City?

The Manchester Evening News is reporting that Manchester City could be prepared to make a shock move for Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

The Dutch international has been on Manchester United’s radar for a long time, but it seems as though Sir Alex Ferguson is not as keen on the midfielder as he was a year or two ago.

This means that Roberto Mancini could be tempted by a move for the 28-year-old, who is not on the best of terms with his current employers Inter right now.

Andrea Stramaccioni appears to be happy to let the World Cup finalist leave Serie A for the right price and if there is a team that is likely to be able to afford his high wage demands, then it is the English Premier League champions.

With Yaya Toure set to leave for the African Cup of National in the New Year and summer signings Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell failing to nail a spot in the first-team, Mancini could look towards Sneijder as the answer to his problems.

There is no doubt he is a world-class player that could really add something to this City squad. If the price is right, then Man City could be doing big business in the transfer window.
