Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder aims to make his comeback when the Spanish side face Zenit St Petersburg next week.
Dutch newspaper ‘Algemeen Dagblad’ reports that Sneijder, who was initially not expected back until November after suffering a knee injury while preparing for the start of this season, has been training as usual and should return to the pitch soon.
Wednesday’s Primera Division match with Sporting Gijón probably comes too soon, but another week should give the Dutchman enough time to get in perfect shape.
The return would come at a good moment as Madrid are without the injured Guti for their match with Zenit.
