After being eliminated from contention for the Africa Cup of Nations, South Africa’s dreadful run of form continued in a 1-0 friendly loss to Guinea on Tuesday.
A solitary goal by Aboubacar Mbaye Camara, doomed South Africa to another defeat, extending the Bafana Bafana’s winless run to five matches in total.
South Africa were dumped out of World Cup/Cup of Nations qualifying in a 1-0 loss to Nigeria in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, meaning they will miss the continent’s major tournament in early 2010, just months prior to the World Cup, for which they are automatically qualified as hosts.
South Africa’s last win came back in June in a 4-1 triumph over lowly Equatorial Guinea.
