South Korea beat United Arab Emirates 2-0 here on Saturday to qualify for the 2010 World Cup.

The Koreans, who as co-hosts with Japan in 2002 made it into the semi-finals, became the third country to qualify for South Africa after Japan and Australia sealed their tickets earlier Saturday.

First half goals from Park Chu Young and Ki Sung Yueng lifted South Korea to the top of Asian Group B on 14 points, three clear of North Korea, who drew 0-0 with Iran in Pyongyang.
