Southampton have been enjoying a bright start to the season under new manager Ronald Koeman, with the Saints harbouring lofty ambitions of European football this season. Despite losing a host of key players for large sums of money this summer, Southampton are currently second in the table, with 10 points from five games.

They are coming off the back of an impressive win away to Arsenal in the Capital One Cup third round in midweek, and have won their last five games in all competitions too.

Newly-promoted Queens Park Rangers are their opponents this afternoon, with the Rangers desperate to pick up some points after a slow start to life back in the Premier League, and Betfair are giving odds of 4/9 for the Saints to get all three points at home as a result.
