Southampton eye Berahino move

Southampton are ready to move for West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino, according to the Express.

The South Coast club have money to spend after selling Sadio Mane to Liverpool this week, and have identified Berahino as one of their top targets.

Stoke City are also in the hunt to secure the Baggies’ star’s services while Tottenham Hotspur have previously been linked with the forward.

The formwe England U21 international has one year remaining on his current deal and is valued at around £16m.

Aside from loan spells with Northampton Town, Brentford and Peterborough United Berahino has spent his entire career so far at The Hawthorns so far racking up one hundred and thirteen club appearances in all competitions, scoring thirty-six goals.

He scored ten goals in eleven outings for England’s U21s but is yet to receive his first cap for the Three Lions’ senior team.
