Southampton to bid for Tonny Vilhena

Sunday People is reporting that Premiership outfit Southampton are considering a January bid for Feyenoord youngster Tonny Vilhena.

The Saints are slowly losing patience with midfielder Jack Cork, who will be sold in the current transfer window unless he signs a new deal at St Mary’s in the next two days.

And Southampton have already lined up a replacement as they plan to make a move on Feyenoord starlet Tonny Vilhena.

The Saints will offer around £4 million for the 20-year-old footballer, who has already left his mark at De Kuip in spite of his fragile age.

Having come through the club’s youth academy, Vilhena went on to feature in 77 Eredivisie matches, scoring 10 goals in total.

Following two impressive seasons at Feyenoord, the youngster has suffered a dip in form this term, but Southampton boss Ronald Koeman obviously believes the midfielder can make the grade in English Premier League.
