Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, with the Frenchman having previously confessed a desire to play in the Champions League. He’s enjoyed a standout season with the Saints, which has seen them qualify for a Europa League spot, meaning some form of European football will be coming to St Mary’s this summer, but his future is still undecided.

The 25-year-old came close to leaving the club last summer when the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool were being linked with his services, but he was convinced by his club to stay on another season. It led to Southampton surprising everyone to finish 7th in the table, just two points off Liverpool, and four points off Tottenham. However, it’s unlikely to keep the Frenchman happy, and he could well be swayed if interest rises in his signature this summer.

Ladbrokes are giving odds of 4/5 for the midfielder to make the move to Manchester United, as the Red Devils need options in the middle of the park to replace the ageing Michael Carrick, as well as providing a more trusted and round alternative to the likes of Marouane Fellaini.
