Competition: World Cup Qualifiers
Market: Spain to Win to Nil against Liechtenstein
Odds: 2/9 @ Bet 365

Spain welcome minnows Liechtenstein to the Reino de León in Monday’s World Cup qualifier, and are big favourites to come out on top to potentially go top of their group in their opening game.

La Roja have a new manager and squad changes to contend with, but Monday’s clash against the lowly Liechtenstein shouldn’t give them many problems.

Spain are coming off the back of a win against Belgium, where they won and kept a clean sheet, and have an infinitely more talented squad than their opposition in the week. New manager Julen Lopetegui has enjoyed a winning start, and will expect a convincing win and performance from his squad.

Liechtenstein are big underdogs to come away with anything at the Reino de León given they’ve been used to being the whipping boys on the international stage. The visitors are ranked 182nd, as of August 11, and have suffered three defeats on the bounce ahead of Monday’s clash.

With Faroe Islands, Iceland and Denmark beating Liechtenstein this year, while three of their last four games have seen the underdogs failing to score, Bet 365 are backing Spain with odds of 2/9 for La Roja to Win to Nil against Liechtenstein in Monday’s World Cup qualifier.
