Spain travel to face Belarus in today’s Euro 2016 qualifier, with the holders hoping to extend their lead in the automatic qualifying places. Vicente Del Bosque’s side are three points adrift of Slovakia at the summit, and victory against Belarus could see them go level on points with first-place depending on results.

Their recent form has been inconsistent, however, with defeats suffered against Netherlands and Germany in recent weeks, so they may not be at their fluid best tonight. Belarus have lost four of their last six games, so they aren’t in any shape to threaten a shock result against Spain. They ended their wait for a win in the group against Macedonia earlier in the year, but beating Spain is another story.

The visitors won 3-0 against Belarus when the two sides locked horns in the reverse fixture, and Betfair are giving odds of 4/11 for Spain to repeat the feat. Belarus have been the group whipping boys, and stand little chance of qualifying given how many points adrift they are, but they have pride still to play for, and will want to rove themselves against the European champions.
