Spain World Cup star to complete shock move to Swansea

Spain international midfielder Marcos Senna is on the verge of a sensational move to newly-promoted Swansea City, according to Daily Mail.

The 34-year-old has seen his contract with Villarreal expire at the end of the season and is reportedly looking for a new challenge.

Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers has already been in contact with the Brazilian-born midfielder, as confirmed by the player’s manager.

“He phoned coach Brendan Rodgers, who speaks perfect Spanish, who told him they wanted him,“ Eli Coimbra was quoted as saying.

“The negotiations are going very fast and could be closed earlier than expected.”

Senna missed big part of last season through injury, but has returned into action in the final stage of the league campaign and is now ready to embark on a new challenge.
